January TBR

This is something that I decided I was going to add to the blog this year, as I do hope that it will help me keep my reading going, since I fell into a pretty serious slump towards the end of 2014. I tried a couple of TBRs last year, but never really put much effort into them. I want to change that this year and try to stick to a TBR monthly. Sure, sometimes I might pick up something different because what I picked doesn't sound good, but I will take that as it comes.

Along with just picking books that I want to read, I will also be doing some monthly buddy reads with my friend Sarah (WordsWithSarah), and will be using a randomizer to pick some books off of my shelves. With that, I will also put some focus on my challenges for 2015, and will choose some of my books each month from that list as well. Below, as I list the books, I will also include if they count as one or more of my challenges as well. So, here is my January TBR!

Cress by Marissa Meyer - Finish that Series Challenge
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch - Buddy Read with Sarah (also, Sara Raasch is going to be my first author interviewed for my new Author Spotlight monthly post I have decided to do, get excited!)
Top Ten Clues You're Clueless by Liz Czukas - Buddy Read with Sarah (December release - I will share more about how Sarah and I are selecting our books soon!)

Uncross the Stars by Janell Rhiannon - Janell was amazing and asked if I would like to read and review her book, so once the paperback arrives I intend to read it this month.
The Number 7 by Jessica Lidh - from Merit Press, I really want to stay on top of the books I'm sent for review this year.
Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas - Monthly keyword challenge & picked from the TBR randomizer

Bumped by Megan McCafferty - Finish that Series Challenge
Thumped by Megan McCafferty - Finish that Series Challenge
The List by Siobhan Vivian - TBR randomizer

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven - New Release on pre-order
There Will be Lies by Nick Lane - New Release on pre-order
The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall - New Release on pre-order

    1. I am really bad about sticking to my TBR lists too, but I am hoping that I can do it this year, I'm going to try really hard! haha. I am super excited about Cress, I just finished Scarlet, so I am definitely ready to get into it!

  3. Cress has been on my TBR for months - I got it when it was released, but haven't read it yet. I think I'm going to wait till I have Fairest to read it (: Hope you enjoy your books!

    1. I just finished Scarlet, so I want to move onto Cress so I don't forget too much of what happens. I do have Fairest on preorder, though!

  4. I really loved Cress and hope you do to. I'm starting to really look forward to Fairest.

I'm very interested in The Conspiracy of Us, I'm not planning on buying it quite yet. It's far enough outside my usual reading comfort zone that I want to get some thoughts and opinions on it before I go ahead and buy it. It does sound really good though and I hope it is. (Good luck with your TBR list. I've tried doing that, but I'm too much of a spur-of-the-moment reader - and buyer - for it to work for me.)
