Feature & Follow Friday [8]

It's Feature and Follow Friday time! I decided to join in again this week, and it is probably something that I will try to keep doing! I love meeting other book bloggers, and it seems like a wonderful way to do just that! Want more information on how the whole thing works? Check out the information HERE at Parajunkee.

This Week's Question:
Do you have a go to genre when you’re happy, sad, or angry? – via Take Me Away…

I am definitely a mood reader, which makes things incredibly difficult when I am in a reading slump (like I am currently) because it usually means I'm just not in the mood to read anything at all. However, whenever I am feeling extreme emotions, whether they are positive or negative, I usually turn to contemporary books. There are always going to be several books that relate to what I'm dealing with, and that can be incredibly reassuring. Sometimes when I'm sad, a good insta-love contemporary can make me feel a little bit better about everything!

  1. Usually, reading just a book is good enough! Though, sometimes when I'm down, I reread or try some Children's! Sometimes, though, I really, really NEED to read something, like a light contemporary or a dark Fantasy!

Contemprary's a good pick me up, I agree. I wasn't always a big fan of Contemporary but lately I've gravitated much more toward it!

  3. I like NA contemporary romance to bring me out of a funk. And paranormal romance. Even if I'm in a funk over romance haha. Sometimes if that doesn't work or I'm just not feeling it I go for a more tragic contemporary fiction Jessi The Book Cove
