Waiting on Wednesday [1]

This is my first week to participate in Waiting on Wednesday, but I thought I would go ahead and join in since so many other people do it. Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted over at Breaking the Spine in which I will tell you which books I am most looking forward to being released. There are SO many great books coming out the second half this year, and I am very excited about some of them.

The Young World by Christ Weitz

Category: Young Adult
Genre: Dystopia, Thriller
Series: The Young World #1
Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: July 29, 2014
Page Count: 384

Synopsis:
Welcome to New York, a city ruled by teens.

After a mysterious Sickness wipes out the rest of the population, the young survivors assemble into tightly run tribes. Jefferson, the reluctant leader of the Washington Square tribe, and Donna, the girl he's secretly in love with, have carved out a precarious existence among the chaos. But when another tribe member discovers a clue that may hold the cure to the Sickness, five teens set out on a life-altering road trip to save humankind.

The tribe exchanges gunfire with enemy gangs, escapes cults and militias, braves the wilds of the subway and Central Park...and discovers truths they could never have imagined.

  2. Ohhhh! I was trying to remember why Chris Weitz' name looked familiar to me, and he's a TV/movie writer! I bet this will be really good! Cool pick. :)
