A to Z Bookish Survey

I have heard quite a bit about this survey lately, so I decided to go ahead and complete it myself! I believe that it was originally done by Jamie from Perpetual Page Turner, so I have linked her blog here.

Author you’ve read the most books from:

I have not really been the kind of person that finds one author and then reads all of the books by them. It seems like this is something a lot of bloggers do, and I feel like I need to start following this habit, too. However, I do have one author whose books I auto-buy because I love her and everything she writes, and that is Sarah Dessen. She has eleven books out, and I own and have read all of them.

Best Sequel Ever:

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins - Much better than the first and last book.

Currently Reading:

Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Um, I think that it just depends what I feel like at the moment? Usually it's just water or perhaps Mountain Dew or Dr. Pepper. I have tried to cut back on the soda, but it's a little bit difficult!

E-reader or Physical Book?

I’m perfectly fine with both kinds, but I do prefer physical books these days. When I first started my blog five months ago, I was reading nothing but e-books because I had tons of offers to review books and was doing a lot of blog tours. I think that I sort of got drained on reading e-books, though I'm still not against reading them.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

Um, this would probably be Peeta from The Hunger Games. While it is definitely not my favorite series out there, I really love Peeta's character. He is so charming and sweet, and I feel like he would be a really good boyfriend. I mean, Katniss treated him horribly and he still fawned over her!.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

Hidden Gem Book:

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson (not sure if this is really hidden, but I feel like there are a lot of people that have not read it yet.)

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

I think it would just be falling in love with the Harry Potter series and waiting at midnight for the last book, and seeing midnight premieres of the movies. It's the series that really developed my love for reading.

Just Finished:

A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall & HP and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

Eh, it depends on my mood. I'm still pretty picky about what New Adult books I read, and I really do not read any adult books at all. Genre wise, I'm not really a fan of horror or anything that's going to scare me too much.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Based on Goodreads, it looks like it would be Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at 870 pages.

Major book hangover because of:

Number of Bookcases You Own:

Um, technically four, I suppose. I have one that is in my classroom, though it needs to be replaced. I have two in our living room at home; one tall and one shorter. I also have a big square one with cubed shelves in my craft room/library.

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I have read this three times this year, since I just read it for the first time this year. I love it!

Preferred Place To Read:

I'm really not too picky about where I read. If I have time to read, then I will find any place to read. I prefer to read on the couch or in bed, though. I do enjoy reading in the bath rub sometimes as well.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default.” That J.K. Rowling is one amazing and wise woman!

Reading Regret:

Um, I don't really think that I have any reading regret. I regret wasting so much time getting my blog up and running, I suppose. I had been thinking about it for a long time before I finally did it, but I don't regret reading any books that I have.

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

There are a lot of series that are like this. I really need to finish the Lunar Chronicles, though all of those aren't out yet. I have all of the books in The Maze Runner series and really need to get those read, especially before the movie comes out.

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, The HP Series by J.K. Rowling

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

Anything Sarah Dessen related. Sometimes I feel like I stalk her social media, just dying to find out when she might be releasing a new book. I have no regrets, though. I absolutely love her and all of her books.

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

Four by Veronica Roth. I do believe that I'm about to go on Amazon and pre-order it because their price is really, really good.

Worst Bookish Habit:

Buying more and more books when I have tons on my shelf that I have not read yet. Whoops!

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

Your latest book purchase:

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

Um, I don't usually stay up too late reading. I would say the last one I did was Branded by Abi Ketner and Missy Kalicicki
