Bout of Books 10

Bout of Books

I have yet to do a read-a-thon, though I guess that is not too surprising since I've only been doing this book blogging thing for three months, though. Still, there was one a couple of weekends ago and I was pretty bummed that I didn't see about it until the day before, and then I already had plans for that weekend. Since I could not do it then, I decided I would take part in the Bout of Books read-a-thon that begins tomorrow and goes throughout the week. Interested? Here is some more information!

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 12th and runs through Sunday, May 18th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 10 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

Bout of Books Goals:

Time Devoted to Reading

I can usually find a decent amount of time to read during the weeks, and I hope that it will be the same this week. Tomorrow my students will be in the computer lab which does mean quite a bit of reading for me. Along with that, I will spend my lunch break and conference periods reading at work this week. I will spend at least 1.5-2 hours every night this week reading, and will probably try to read one book each day over the weekend since I usually have more time to sit around and read.

My Goals

  • Six books throughout the week is going to be my goal.
  • I should be able to complete one whole book Monday between computer lab, waiting at my dr. appointment, and getting home a little early from work.
  • I would like to read one book on each Saturday and Sunday, and make time during the rest of the week to read a couple more books as well.
  • I would like to complete some of the challenges if possible; it might be a bit difficult if they take place while I am at work.

Books to Read

  • Only With You by Cecilia Gray (e-book for blog tour)
  • Burning Blue by Paul Griffin
  • Pointe by Brandy Colbert
  • If I Stay by Gayle Forman
  • An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
  • The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau

  1. Good luck, Tiffany. I plan to read four books, I didn't have courage to put more on my list. Maybe next time. After all this is my first time participating. :)
